The International Workshop“RecentadvancesinW-Sn and Rare Metal deposit metallogenesis” will takeplace in Nancy (France) and is hosted by the Laboratory of Excellence Resources21 and GeoRessources at the Université de Lorraine.

•Summary This specialized workshop is a1½ day event and is open to all interested parties at an international level. We plan key note lectures as well as shorter communications and a poster session to promote wide discussions.This workshop is ofcross-disciplinary appealin covering all the processes involved in the formationofW-Sn and Rare Metal deposits spatially related to granites. From analytical innovations to mineral system models, through mineral chemistry, granite and enclosing rock geochemistry, geochronology of ore and gangue minerals, stable isotope geochemistry, fluid inclusions, … On the afternoon of December 1rst Matthieu Harlaux will defend his PhD thesis: “Late orogenic tungsten mineralization and associated rare metals in the West European Variscan belt: example of the French Massif Central deposits”
