Firt thematic EIT Raw Materials Brokerage event on Primary resources

The thematic approach of Primary resources addresses areas: 

• Exploration, mining, mineral processing and metallurgy; 
• Equipment, tooling and machinery for mining, mineral and metal producing industry; 
• Implementation of ICT-solutions for the Raw Material sector (such as process automation and optimization, Internet of Things and Big Data); 
• Advanced practices related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Green Mining.

The focus of the Brokerage Event will be on the KIC Added Value Activities: Networking & Matchmaking (half a day) 

• KAVA 1. InfoCenter: Gathering information about what partners have to offer (skills, infrastructure)
• KAVA 2. RM matches: Creating the connections between different people (so they can develop projects together)
• KAVA 3. Idea camp: Generating ideas for innovation projects + screening and validating these ideas until they are ripe enough to be incubated (11. Entrepreneurial Support Services, 12. Start-Up Booster) or tested at large scale (5. Up-Scaling projects)
• KAVA 4. Intrapreneurship facilitator: Same as idea camp, but within large companies

Validation & Acceleration (half a day)

• KAVA 5. Up-scaling Projects: Testing/demonstrating innovation projects at (pre)-industrial scale (TRL 7-9)

As for results, we expect the Brokerage Event to result in a solid platform for future inter-CLC cooperation within Primary resources (KAVA 1-4. Networking & Matchmaking). The partners will be well prepared for the Up-scaling projects when the call opens in late autumn (KAVA 5).You are warmly welcome to the first thematic EIT Raw Materials Brokerage Event on Primary resources, jointly hosted by Northern, Eastern and Baltic Sea CLCs in Copenhagen on the 16th-17th of June (lunch to lunch).
