In just 9 years of existence, RESSOURCES21 has already funded more than 124 master students and 31 Phd students. Most of the student's fundings are dedicated to reserch project but RESSOURCES21 has decided to develop students communication and science dissemination projects.

This four-day annual convention held in Toronto, Canada, began in 1932 and is today the event of choice for the world’s mineral industry. Welcoming more than 1,000 exhibitors and 25,122 attendees from over 100 countries, the meeting provides the opportunity for participants to attend technical sessions and short courses, as well as social and networking events.
Québec Mines brings together all those with a direct or indirect interest in the development of mineral resources in Québec. Participants are drawn from the scientific, economic, industrial, government and business communities, as well as from the mineral exploration and mining sectors, at home and abroad. The general public, job-seekers and students from elementary and secondary schools are also present. For mining sector stakeholders, the event offers opportunities to learn, discuss and meet. For the general public and students, it offers a veritable showcase for discovery and discussion. An annual meeting for professionals from the mining industry, the SIM (Societé de l'Industrie Minérale) congress assembles all those in charge of the exploitation of a mine, quarry, cement factory or industrial mineral and recycling plant. The congress is held in a different town each year.
Recent analytical advances (mainly involving MC-ICPMS and TIMS) now allow the resolution of small variations in the isotopic composition of "non-traditional” stable isotopes (e.g., Li, B, Mg, Si, Cl, Ca, Cr, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Se, Sr, Mo, Ag, Cd, Sn, Sb, Ba, Hg, Tl, U). As a result stable isotope fractionation of metals, and its application in environmental studies, has emerged as a promising and rapidly growing research field. It is now clear that metal isotope signatures can provide valuable information on sources and transformation processes in the biogeochemical cycling of elements in the environment. Possible applications include the tracing of anthropogenic heavy metal emissions and the investigation of critical zone processes such as chemical weathering and biological cycling. This interdisciplinary conference will assemble international scientists (PhD students and more-senior researchers) to present and discuss the latest results on stable metal isotope fractionation using theoretical, experimental, and field-based approaches with a focus on applications in environmental studies.
The Goldschmidt Conference is the world's largest meeting for the presentation and exchange of scientific ideas in geochemistry. It is jointly by the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry.

SGA (MINERAL RESOURCES IN A SUSTAINABLE WORLD)
The Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA) is an international scientific society that promotes the science of mineral deposits geology. Its worldwide membership of approximately 700 is composed of researchers, professionals and students from university, industry and government, all sharing an interest in economic geology, mineral resources, industrial minerals and environmental aspects related to mineral deposits. Since the first edition in Nancy in 1991, the biennial SGA meetings provide excellent opportunities to present and exchange knowledge within the field of mineral deposit research. The SGA was founded in 1965 in Heidelberg and this 2015 SGA meeting will celebrate the 50th anniversary meeting of the Society!
